New Generation Fiber
New Generation Fiber, we also call“Next Generation Fiber”,or “Fiber V2.0”.Comparing to current main specialty fibers, new generation fibers are more likely to be used for high speed optical communication、industry laser、medical、optical sensing, they have obvious development or innovation in some specific directions.
There are some typical new generation specialty fibers:
1. Hollow Core Anti-resonant Fiber:
Anti-resonant Fiber(ARF) is one type of hollow core fiber ,which has very low non-linearity,high damage threshold. It could be used in laser manufacturing,ultrafast laser, nonlinear endoscope,microscope, and gas-based mid-infrared laser.
2. Capillary Fiber:
We can use precision air pressure control and high purity low impurity quartz to produce high performance capillary fiber, which can reach 300nm~100um diameter,and can be used in scientific、medical、industry and optical sensing fields
3. OCT Fiber (Polyimide Coating):
The development of OCT(Optical Coherence Tomography) had been extended from OPHTHALMIC retinal imaging to dual mode diagnosis on Coronary artery disease using fiber optic probe.When we design the OCT conduit,we will need small size fiber with good dispersion performance,bending insensitive and high strength features.
4. High resolution imaging fiber:
Imaging Fiber is one kind of Microstructure multicore fiber. Each core will act as one pixel.
It is the key component in the Medical device endoscope system.
